Our Deluxe Horse Rug made from NZ Merino wool is a blend.

Why a wool blend?

• nylon is used to stabilise the fabric and provide durability,
• a small amount of lycra for slight one way stretch.

NZ Merino wool is breathable yet robust enough to stand up to the test any horse can give it.  NZ Merino wool works superbly with our 3 piece design, providing a perfect fit and optimal comfort for your horse.

Our elasticized front chest strap and leg straps are standard and provide benefits like reduced pressure points at the chest.  If your horse does get caught on a fence the idea is the elasticised strap will break, freeing the horse and rug from danger as well as providing give when the horse is moving around.

Our polysheen lining and wool/cotton padded around the neck makes for a comfortable reinforced fit and helps prevent rubbing.  The shoulder area is lined with our breathable and soft polysheen for extra assurance against rubbing against the horses skin.

• Elasticised front chest buckle provides relief when the horse lowers its head to graze.
