HINTS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE

The adjustable neoprene part comes in small or large size.

Approximate neoprene size guide:

Small = up to 14.2 hh

Large = over 14.2 hh

HOW TO MEASURE THE RIGHT LENGTH

For the attached bag choose the length you need from our size chart below that corresponds to your horse's height. Choose a length slightly longer than the tail to allow for some growth. To measure length use a soft tape measure & start at the side of the dock where the tailbone meet the rump and follow the natural fall of the tail. If your desired length is not on the chart then please contact us for a custom order..

IMPORTANT POINTS

Cold wash only. Hot wash may damage showerproof coating.
Always wash with zip closed.
Drip dray in shade.
Very cool iron only.
Do not tumble dry.
Wash the tail bag before use to soften the material but this is not necessary for use
You can also use the Travelbag without a rug attachment. Just adjust the fit until it is firm enough to hold in place.
If your horse sweats in the neoprene then loosen the fit slightly to allow better air flow and secure with the rug attachment instead.
In the interest of the environment we use little to no packaging

HOW TO PUT ON THE TRAVEL BAG

Open Travel bag up and restick Velcro tabs down so as not to catch horse's hair.
Thread bag onto arm (from bottom of bag) and take hold of the tail at the end of the dock.
Pull tail down thru bag while holding neoprene up with the other hand.
Slide neoprene protector snugly up under the tail and secure to attachment to hold up in place.
Starting at the top, smooth tail hair down and do up Velcro tabs, making sure overlapping neoprene lays flat under buckles. Using even pressure is important as lumps could cause uneven pressure points.
Before doing up the last tab, tuck & fold the bag opening down flat and use bottom tab to secure in place.
Fold top of rug attachment down to secure.
Once happy with the fit, trim the Velcro tabs to the right length so the excess won't scratch or irritate the horse's rump.

TO REMOVE THE TAIL BAG

Peel back the top flap of the attachment
Carefully peel off the tail bag
Slide the tail bag down the tail until it has been removed

SEWING THE ATTACHMENT ONTO THE RUG

Before fitting the tail bag to your rug, allow the rug to settle into place by wearing for min 1 hour.
Thread tail bag onto the horses tail as per instructions.
Place the tail bag onto the bottom velcro strip of the attachment (in the centre to allow for some adjustment up & down). Fold top velcro strip over and secure to the rug.
Position the tail bag comfortably as per diagrams below.
Mark underside of the rug where the fold line of the attachment reaches. Remove tail bag.
Sew attachment to underside of rug where marked, using 2-3 straight lines of stitching.
If attaching to heavy duty fabric, ie canvas, take it to your local rug repairer.
